Enchanted Valley via East Fork Quinault River — Saturday, May. 21, 2022

2-day backpack trip with a stop at O’Neill Creek on night 1 and Enchanted Valley on night 2. We arrived at O’Neill late on Friday and there were very few spots left - expect to be camping close to your neighbors and get there early if you can! The trail has just a few blowdowns left and only one that causes a longer detour. It was muddy as mentioned in previous reports but slowly drying out with the sunny weather this weekend. Two members of our group wore trail runners and didn’t get too wet. We saw 5 bears, including two that were right near campsites in Enchanted Valley. Be bear aware! The trail to the valley was magical and the valley itself felt like a green screen, we loved this trip!
