Hit the trail about noon, still plenty of parking on side of road by trail sign. Very few folks for Memorial Day weekend. Switchbacks down for about half an hr, then mostly flat until the closed area. Lots of cool mossy trees to walk through. Muddy in places and be prepared to climb over numerous fallen logs on trail, but a really enjoyable short hike next to river, with lots of old railroad vestiges, rocks, metal pieces, etc. Small waterfall near the end on side of trail.
