Poo Poo Point - Chirico Trail — Saturday, Apr. 20, 2024

Issaquah Alps > Tiger Mountain
Mt. Rainer!!

Reached the trail around 7:15 AM, had to park out on the road. Beautiful day & clear skies - only saw about 20 people heading up but over 50 when heading down. First mile of the climb is pretty rocky and the second mile levels off making it much easier to run up to the top.

With the clear skies it was super easy to see Mt. Rainer and the rest of the stunning highlights. You could also head over to the other side of the point (0.1 miles) and see the Mt. Baker + Lake Sammamish direction. Also wow that high school is massive. Took us about 45 minutes to run up and maybe 50 minutes to descend at a slower pace due to the rockiness and tons of people.

Loved the trail, tons of friendly people & a small amount of leashed dogs! We had our 60 lb. german shepard mix with us and there were times we had to pull over to let folks pass, but overall the trail after the first mile is plenty wide!

good luck out there!
