This week's snow brought a couple inches to this area. The final slope above the tree line headed to the saddle was a steep field of slushy mud. Passable but not very pleasant. I recommend waiting until things dry out a bit! Otherwise, I highly recommend this under-utilized trail with spectacular views!

Nuckers on Tyler Peak Trail
Thanks for the report. I'm thinking about backpacking in that area next weekend and camping overnight near Baldy or Gray Wolf. Do you know how the snow looks in that direction? Also, was the snor you hit recent snow or part of the winter pack that will take a while to melt? I'm thinking by next weekend any new snow should be gone, maybe. Thanks so much!

There's a huge contrast between Tyler and Baldy. Baldy still had a pretty good snowpack, but Tyler was clear except for the recent light covering that turned things swampy. It doesn't look like much snow being added this week, but Baldy will take awhile to melt out.
