Kiddos had the day off from school, so we took advantage of a "quiet" weekday hike up Lake 22! Well, Lake 22's version of a quiet day which meant when we arrived at the trailhead at 11am the parking lot was only half full! When we left just before 3 the lot was almost full.
Trail is is good shape, plenty of early season drainage going on but all these spots were easily rock-hopped even by little legs with only some hand-holding. The log that is down is quite large and as others have stated has a step cut into it, but it's 1 step so it can be a tricky spot if you're not feeling particularly agile. Kids did it find with a hand, and our pup was just annoyed we were trying to "help" her. There are a few tiny patches of dirty snow/slush right as you approach the lake and the far side of the lake is snow covered, but at that point you've already made it so it's just fun to play in, not an obstacle.
