Revenge of the Fifth!
enjoyed a Sunday afternoon adventure from the southern trailhead up to Maple Grove. Road is fine with a few major potholes to take slowly. As other have reported there is a bridge out just before Anderson Point and the current options are getting wet feet fording, a real sketchy high log crossing, or as my son noted “walk down to the lake and swim to the other side.” The ford isn’t a big deal if you’re expecting it. Trail is generally in great shape and is its wonderful rambling self. A handful (6?) of blowdowns on the way to Maple Grove 2 are somewhat messy tangles, others are straightforward climb-overs and 1 duck-under.
