Did Dusty Lake as a quick little overnight backpacking trip. The hike out was very easy since it was all flat. The sun and the high winds were the only perils out there. No rattlesnakes were seen on the way in. We started our hike in the late afternoon, so around 2 or 3pm. Got to a nice little campsite and hung out. We only saw 1 other group camping across the lake. Spent about an hour or two fishing. Caught 1 rainbow trout! There were also a lot of bird sounds that was very pleasant to wake up to.
The next day we headed out around 9:30am, saw 2 rattlesnakes but stayed our distance. Saw lots of other hikers, families, groups etc heading towards Dusty and Ancient Lakes.
