Drizzle day with some mud on the trail...more than a few days ago. A hiker coming down from the peak reported snow on the trail higher up; we only encountered running water over the trail in places. no snow. Once you pass the turnoff to the balcony, there are several spots to the right of the trail with rock cairns. Don't be confused - most of these do NOT indicate the turn off to the Museum. Wait till you get ~0.7 miles past the intersection with the balcony and then you should see cairns on both sides of the rustic path to the right headed to the museum. If you continue straight on the peak trail, you'll be walking through a stream bed with lots of flowing water (at least today). Lower on the trail, spotted 2 birdhouses.
