This was an early morning hike because I wanted to beat the heat. I arrived at the trailhead at 6:00am on a Saturday morning. There was actually one car already there ahead of me. 😲 It was a beautiful morning with blue sky. The trail was in wonderful condition the entire way.
It took me 1 1/2 hours to reach the overlook. The view of Leavenworth and the Wenatchee River below was spectacular. I saw one hiker and another trail runner in the first two hours of hiking. I spent 30 minutes at the top looking around then headed down the trail. I arrived back to my car at 9:00am. There were a lot more hikers on the trail between 8 and 9am. Everyone was super friendly.
I highly recommend this hike for a short workout that leaves you the rest of the day to explore Leavenworth and the valley.
Have a great day. Happy trails!
