We went up to the Round Lake junction.
The trip was 10.2 miles in total and had 4,000ft of elevation gain/loss.
Took about 7 hours of moving time.
The 49 road is rough, but the mtn loop is in amazing shape.
1 mile in there is a downed tree, just go up when you see it.
I think the snow started around 4500ft?
The snow reminds me of a 711 slurpee, it isn't fun for hiking through. That being said, I didn't use anything other than boots, trekking poles, and an ice axe to cross.
