Ridge before climb up to Earl Peak, looking away

There was no snow until you got up on top of the ridge, and even there it was spotty and easy to cross.  I actually missed the turn for Fourth Creek Trail and ended up scrambling up the hill to meet back up with it.  I had never gone up on top of Earl Peak before - great view.  The scramble down the far side into Bean Creek Basin was an adventure.  I didn't know which side the trail went down and originally scrambled down the north side of the rocks, which was not the way to go.  The trail is along the southern side.  There is definitely more of a scramble route, with some fun little rock grips.

There were wildflowers of every color out!  And I was very pleased to see some of the adorable Fairy Slippers peaking out as well.
