Did counter clock wise, which is the way to go as the downhill section is basically snow free, while the hike up has considerable snow. First snow field to cross is at around 1300ft of elevation gain, and it becomes basically non stop snow after 1650ft of elevation gain.
It's doable with boots and poles, but having micro spikes gives extra bit of safety when climbing on snow.
There were some off leash dogs, one of which barked and lunged at me. The owners said this is normal. I disagreed.
Also a drone flying on Maple pass, drones are not allowed here.

Isn't the trail in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, so the drone would technically be legal to fly there? If it were to cross into the Stephen Mather Wilderness then it would be illegal.
