Got to the trailhead around 12:30 on Sunday. It took about 45 minutes to get up the un-paved road. Lots and lots of cars but managed to grab a spot as someone was leaving.
WTA has 7.5 miles for this hike but if you leave from the actual trail head its 2.8 miles each way.
Lots of wildflowers out and the bugs weren't too bad - used some bug spray but honestly didn't feel like it was necessary, although we didn't stop at the lake. Very surprising when we finally passed the treeline and saw the lookout seemingly still miles away but supposedly only 0.8 miles out. The last .8 miles was tough but not as bad as it seemed.
Apple watched clocked 5.8 miles and 1,500 feet of elevation gain.
