started hiking around 6am and it took roughly two hours to reach the summit including breaks and some back tracking. The cairn for the silver peak turn off is pretty obvious, but we missed it. If you start passing small lakes, you’ve missed the turn off.
Once you take the turn, trail gets steep and challenging. Expect talus and some scrambling. Took about two hours to get down as we moved slowly down the summit.
Road is rough, but take it slow. Saw a handful of other hikers.
