Confirming what others have mentioned - the road is open but rough. I got there about 10a on a Saturday and got one of the last “spaces” in the small lot. Trail was quieter than I expected all day. Overall trail condition was great, though pretty bushy through the portion when you first come out of the forest. Water sources were sparse in the last mile. Fall colors were beautiful.
I’m hoping someone who stayed over night on Saturday got some pics of the sunset from the lookout. It was incredible during the drive home and must have been magic over the lake.

I was thinking the exact same thing driving home - that sunset was unbelievable! Jealous of whoever stayed at the lookout for sure!
