Snow Mountain Ranch and Cowiche Mountain — Friday, Oct. 25, 2024

I went out to Snow Mtn Ranch today to help with the re-route of the east leg of the Bench Trail, moving it off of the lithosol and onto the deeper soils to create a more sustainable trail.  It will probably be nicer to walk on as well.  We stomped it in, went over it with a weed-whacker, and revised the signage.  Afterwards I went down and walked part-way out the Riparian Trail East and then up and around the Garry Oak Trail.  The fall color is coming on, but there is still lots of green, so it will just get better over the next few weeks.
