Discovery Park Loop Trail — Sunday, Nov. 3, 2024

Got to the north parking lot around 11:15 this morning and it was about half full. We roamed around aimlessly near the lot for a couple of hours with our friends' new baby in tow. The trails were in solid shape, though covered in decomposing leaves, which made for some mildly muddy walking with the recent rain. We found many mushrooms and fungi, and the leaves were falling all around us. Although there were plenty of folks around, we had many moments of quiet and solitude. When we returned to the parking lot around 1:45, the lot was similarly about half full.
