The lower half of this trail is snow free but very muddy in spots. My dog and I found some fallen trees that crossed the trail. You'll need to be comfortable with climbing over or ducking under tree trunks to pass through. The streams that run across the trails are overflowing which requires some fancy foot work to cross. About halfway up the snow started to accumulate on the trail. It was only till we reached the last mile to the lake that the snow was pretty packed. You can cross the snow in hiking boots though. The lake basin was flooded and the snow pack was so deep that the trail was no longer visible. I wasn't able to make it to the lake shore. About 200 - 300 feet from the end the trail was not walkable. Was only able to get a little peekaboo view of the lake.
