Had to park at Marble Mtn and walk to trailhead. Road closed. Spikes definitely useful for most of the trail, there was patches where no snow was on the ground which made us and others have to carry our snowshoes. We were glad to have them around the lake though because we were able to go meet the marble mountain spot and have a beautiful view of Mt St Helens which would have been difficult without the shoes.
