My friend and I decided on a car to car hike for this sunny first day of March. Left a car at Folsom Farm TH and continued on to Miller Ranch where we parked by the gate. There were large puddles in the grassy areas but the bulk of the trails were not overly muddy, mostly just spots of intermittent puddles. We took the first trail to our left and hiked north along all the smaller lakes that dot the area. We soon reached Fishtrap Rd and TH where we crossed and walked east towards Hog Canyon TH on the road to Folsom Farm TH. The canyon was lovely and it was great to be in the pine trees and out of the direct sun. As we approached Hog Lake we could hear cars and there were quite a few people fishing and just out enjoying the day. We crossed the road and headed up the trails that follow the lake to Hog Falls which was amazing! After the falls we headed south on the trail reaching the Hog Canyon TH. We road walked to the gate and trail that leads back to Folsom Farm, reaching it at the blue hour as sunset was arriving, completing a 7.21 mile and 330 ft gain and loss hike.

Nice report. Interesting falls - is it natural or agricultural run-off?
Last photo is nice also - love that time of day!

Hey thanks, I believe it is natural. Hog Creek and Hog Lake are all connected. The falls are on private property, not part of the BLM land management unit, but still great views.
