Packwood Lake — Saturday, Mar. 8, 2025

Beautiful hike to Packwood Lake today! 10 miles (about half in snow; bring poles) but pretty easy overall, and a perfect almost-spring day! 

Arrived at 11AM. A few cars in the lot. There is a lot of snow still, but nothing treacherous. We used poles and micro-spikes just to speed things up (the trail is icy in places.) Four hours total. I’m 55 and okay shape. Quite a few hikers out, but not too crowded.
