Olympic Peninsula > Hood Canal
Rocky Brook Falls

I visited the falls today and all I could say was...WOW!  This time of year the water was pouring over the falls.  It ranks as one of the most impressive falls I have seen in WA State by far.  And it's very EZ to get to.  From US-101 south of Brinnon, turn west onto Dosewallips Road and proceed to the first concrete bridge that crosses over Rocky Brook Creek, about 3 miles from US-101.  Park just beyond the bridge to the left and walk out a nearly flat trail along the west side of the creek for about 500 ft. and you're there at the base of the "horse tail" configuration falls.  You can scramble around on some rocks to get the perfect vantage point for pics and videos.  Plan to visit when the snow is melting, but beware as the posted signs say, apparently the creek level can get high and dangerous at times.  But you'll know when you arrive if it's safe to proceed to the falls.  Enjoy.
