Apple Capital Recreation Loop Trail — Saturday, Mar. 22, 2025

Central Washington > Wenatchee

It was time for my annual spring loop on the Apple Capital with a stop at Pybus Public Market for lunch.  The foliage is still pretty bare on the east side but the sunshine felt great.

I parked at Wenatchee Confluence and took the loop north and then across the Columbia. The east side of the loop was quiet as usual. It wasn't long before I was headed back over the Columbia and on the west side again where it is slower going with more folks.

Pybus was busy with a community services fair but I was able to find a table quickly.  It is also a great bathroom stop.

Now it was time for the crowded section of the trail between Pybus and the Confluence.  It was nice to see they were doing some improvements, including lane paint to designate bike and pedestrians lanes although some seem to think it was optional.

The morning had been bright but cloud cover rolled in eventually.  It didn't deter everyone out enjoying the milder temperatures (it had snowed the night before) though!
