The Trail

  • Several trails with minimal tree debris inside this tucked-away natural area in the ravine below residential homes.

My Route

  1. From O.O. Denny Park parking lot, head east on the trail paralleling south of Denny Creek.
  2. Cross the creek to the north and continue upstream to the upper trailhead inside Big Finn Hill Park.
  3. Return to Denny Creek and stay on the north trail and turn right at the fork.
  4. The path soon steepens and enters MacDonald Memorial Preserve through the switchbacks to the top.
  5. Return to the junction at Denny Creek and head back to O.O. Denny Park.

Highlights

  • A nice secluded area below the neighborhood

Lowlights

  • The area north of the preserve is now private property, and it's no longer feasible to loop through the ravine, as the map suggests.
  • The North half of the trail before the preserve boundary is currently closed off
