Hiked up Mount Rose today, mostly before the rain started. The snow started at around 3500', not too far past horse camp. Fresh, soggy snow on top of older frozen snow was a bit slippery here and there but overall not too bad with microspikes. It took us about the same amount of time to go from horse camp to the top as it did to get up to horse camp from the TH. It didn't look like anyone had done the loop, we went up and down the lakeward side. The track was pretty easy to follow on the snow but definitely wandered a bit.
