Trail run up to Sourdough Gap. Started at the Crystal Lakes Trailhead.
Just some minor details. There was significant snow on the ground past Lower Crystal Lake. If you are not familiar with the area it is easy to get lost in the snow.
I only saw two people at Upper Crystal Lake and there was no one else past that.
On the way down I heard someone blowing a whistle and yelling for help in the trees. I searched around for a bit and there was a lady who was lost and her phone died. She had no map or GPS to help her find her way in the snow. I was able to help her get back to the main trail below crystal lakes.
Just a good reminder that it still wintery in the High Country. It is easy to get lost when there is significant snow on the ground. Stay safe in shoulder season!!
