Beautiful time to be up in the Teanaway area with the weather being not too hot and their still being a fair amount of wildflowers to view in addition to the views atop Miller Peak.
The trail is clear of any obstacles other than a few small patches of snow near the top of the trail. These were easy to navigate without any traction aides. There are four or five stream crossings within the first 2 miles with only one being somewhat difficult to cross without getting your feet wet. I was able to cross using poles to help balance on the few rocks.
At the top, I was surprised by a mountain goat that suddenly appeared while I was eating and taking in the views. It wasn't aggressive, however it did continue to approach me instead of wondering away, so I packed up and slowly retreated back down the mountain. It continued to follow me down for awhile. So be forewarned, especially if you have a dog with you that might be interested in the goat.
