On my way back from Plain today I stopped at this spot to enjoy a short, lovely walk. The campgrounds are open. The trail (lower loop) follows the creek. The water is high and flowing at a fast pace. I love seeing the blue hues in the water. Bright green plants and boulders add a nice contrast to the setting. The upper loop of the trail leads into a path lined with green mosses and plants and a few blooming flowers. Tall stately trees attracted my attention and led me to look up and appreciate their impressive size and scars outlining their existence.
The second photo below shows a tendril like growth seen on a bush. I have no idea what it is. It was definitely attached to branches extending out from the stem of the plant. Anyone know what it is? It was a unique finding for me.
While I wouldn't drive the distance to get here, it's certainly a nice spot to take a break from hiking nearby. And using the campground may come in handy.

According to the PictureThis app, it's alloclavaria, a species of white-purple fungus.

Thank you. I thought it was probably a fungus but I couldn't find it.
