With the forecast in the mid-80s, we headed up to Longmire early. The trail is in excellent condition. We chose to go clockwise to get the steepest section done on ascent. Trail was pleasantly light use this morning. With the riding temps there sections near the top where the mosquitos were out in full force. No slow downs today coming into the park. However when we left before 1:00pm, the line to enter was approx 1.5 miles. Come early to beat the heat and line!
BONUS — Copper Creek is worth the stop for a good burger and pie! If it’s busy, placing a to go order and sitting outside saves a lot of time!
