Snoqualmie Region > Snoqualmie Pass
Water fall along the trail

I joined a group of 8 total, from the mountaineers. Very nice day for a hike, about 72 degrees.

After navigating the short but potholed entrance road, we arrived at the trail head at 7:30am. About 15-20 cars in the lot. Sunny and cool, but warming. Started our casually paced hike at 8:00. The trail is well maintained with bridges and low wood stair steps in steeper spots. Steady up but gradual. As one of my trail mates said, "It's a lovely walk in the woods to a beautiful lake."

Passed a few hikers along the way, and a few very well mannered dogs. We arrived at the lake about 10:30. Chose a spot to gather just above the lake in what looked like a great campsite. The group sat and had snacks. I couldn't resist the water, was challenged by a couple of other hikers and dove in! It's cold but refreshing and very swimmable.

We hike out about 11:30 and arrived back at the trail head at 2:00. A few more cars, but not a lot. Overall, very nice hike, very few bugs and the bonus of cold but not freezing lake water to dip in.

Lake access with a few rocks but easy to walk over and dive in
