Road to Trail was not too bad for any car however there were a few sections as you approached the TH where you'll have to navigate a few larger potholes. There was also a small tree across the road. I was able to go underneath this easily with a fullsize pickup.
The trail itself is in great shape and is quite shaded for most of the hike as it meanders along the ridge. Their are a few spots along the way providing glimpses of Glacier Peak to the north. Once near the summit, the trail progresses along grassy hillsides where there were still quite a few wildflowers in bloom. At the summit, the views do not disappoint. I also hiked down to Joan lake which is a worthwhile addition to the hike. A little steep, but that trail is also in good shape.
The mosquitos were quite a nuisance, especially towards the top. If you positioned yourself to where the breezes were, this helped to keep them at bay when you were stopped.
All in all, a great hike with amazing views. I highly recommend.
