Pinnacle Saddle — Monday, Jul. 14, 2025

Don’t be deterred by the snow pile at the start; it is the only snow on the trail besides an easily navigable 10 foot section (see photos)

The flowers are blooming and the marmots are out! Unfortunately the clouds didn’t burn off for a view of Rainier.

We did encounter a hiking group of over 20 people from a university. Please remember recommended group size is max 12, and if you have more, it’s pleasant to space your group out into smaller groups starting at intervals.
