The trail was great! It is a busy trail for sure. Be careful and make sure all items are hidden. A car had 3 windows broken when we arrived. There was a note saying someone reported it to Forest Service and there had been other cars broken into too.
Today was foggy when we arrived at 8 am. We drove from Tacoma and left at 6 am. Not a bad drive at all and traffic was light.
We knew the trail is popular for campers but were surprised to walk by their campsites on the trail near the lake.
No views of the cliff side this morning and the stream for the bridge was dry. It was an enjoyable hike! We stopped at Espresso Chalet after and Zeke’s drive in.

This same trailhead was hit badly a few days ago. Looks like somebody is targeting it knowing that most are overnight campers. The USFS needs to set up game cameras or something to see if they can at least get a license plate.

We were planning to overnight here on the 19th but switched plans due to multiple car windows being smashed out. So upsetting to see.
