Forest Road 2080 needs brushing for its entire 5.5 mile length. I drove it in a full-size truck with high clearance. Both sides of the truck were scratched (which was okay by me but might not please some folks). In addition, the saplings on the sides were stout enough to fold in my mirrors for me as I drove. The first half mile or so of the road has some deep puddles that might require a decent amount of clearance to get through without bottoming out on the center strip of the road. Near the top of the road watch out for a rather large boulder that would do damage if you hit it. Also, a hacked-off tree trunk sticks out into the road that will force you to one side. Finally, there is a short section of road that is eroding - it is marked by pink flagging tape. As others have noted, passing on this road is an adventure. Fortunately, I only met one other vehicle, and we were able to squeeze by one another.
The trail itself is in reasonable shape for an unmaintained route. There were 14 blow downs - all were easy to get around or under. Blueberries were ripe and delicious.
The lake is beautiful. Very clear water and a reasonable temperature for swimming. I saw a river otter swim by. The otter seemed to wonder why I was disturbing its morning. There was one big biting fly that did not appreciate me either.
There is a large campsite near the lake suitable for several tents.
