Toilet just half a mile up the road at Artist Point, or down below at the Ranger station.
This is one of the best hikes for the effort I have done out of at least a hundred in Washington.
Meadows, forests, and Mount Shuksan up close. Lake Ann is a relatively modest alpine lake and there are far better out there, so it’s funny that this hike is named for the lake.
Go for the glacier views from the lake. Mostly ignore the lake.
