Overnight to Big Heart Lake on the West Fork Foss trail. Overall trail is in great shape! Some lingering blueberries high up, the ones we sampled were great. A few other hikers on Thursday but most were staying at Copper Lake and we ended up at Big Heart all by ourselves. Great sites at the lake, the first toilet on the approach was clean (hiking buddy tried both and did not like the toilet further south near the other campsites).
There is the big tree down between Trout and Copper Lakes that requires stepping over on the nicely placed logs. Otherwise a few trees across the trail above Copper Lake which needed to be stepped over. Seemed like more loose large granite rocks than is usual on a Cascades hike. A couple places with water running down the trail but overall trail is in good shape.
