Heather - Maple Pass Loop — Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025

Could start to see larches turning at the tips above 5500 feet with full yellow trees above 6000 feet. Majority are a lemon-like green with only 1/4 to 1/3 of them being full yellow, should be closer to peak next weekend. Enjoyed the fall colors along the trail as well. Busy as expected on a fall Saturday with parking far down the side of the road.  Beautiful hike, would go again. Saw a number of people, some going clockwise and some counterclockwise. Counterclockwise was less steep going up so we did that way.
