It was a gorgeous fall day for a hike at Lake Valhalla. Beautiful blue skies. Chilly temps. Great hiking companion.
Some things to note about the trail:
o no toilet at the TH. Carry out your pee wipe stuff or use a pea cloth so you leave no trace. There is a toilet near the lake.
o mud sucking bogs at the beginning of the trail
o several stretches of icy/snowy sections on the upper portion of the trail before you go over the saddle. They were slippery so be careful. We managed without spikes but did rely on our poles a lot.
o The lake was beautiful and the colors were lovely.
