Snow Lake — Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2025

Autumn colors are awesome even though many of the trees have already lost their leaves. Some areas of water on the trail and mud - not difficult to avoid (mostly). This short report is to let you know about the icy conditions once you're over the pass and descend to the lake. That hillside faces north, receives little sun exposure at this time of year and, unlike the remainder of the trail, the rocks & gravelly surface of the tread were covered in ice when we were there at 12noon.
