Cascade Falls trailhead is at a parking lot on the right-hand side of the road to Mt Constitution. It is small with only room for about 6-7 cars. You need a Discover Pass. No privy. You can see all 4 falls – Cascade, Rustic, Cavern, and Hidden Falls – from this trailhead, but I only saw Rustic and Cascade.
You head downhill to a sign showing the directions to all the falls, with the most being .6 miles. It is a well-worn trail with forest debris and visible tree roots. It appears to have water running down this trail regularly. You’ll come to an intersection with a sign for all 4 falls with Rustic being straight ahead. Cavern and Hidden Falls are to the left. I went to the right for Cascade Falls after viewing Rustic Falls. The trail is a good width though covered in needles, leaves and roots. There are some big cedar trees along the river that leads between the falls.
There is good signage as you reach Cascade Falls. The trail close to the falls has good fencing and there are some ‘unofficial’ trails that get close to the falls with warning signs. However, you can easily get a view of the upper part of the falls before taking steps down to the river. There is a bridge that crosses the river and provides a great point to get a picture-worthy view of the falls. In total, you have to step down and then back up about 63 steps, but you can get good views if you choose not to do this.
There are a number of large trees along the trail and you can continue the trail past the falls if you choose. Lots of roots on the trail and a little bit of fungi. I suspect this is a well-used trail in the summer. I did not see anyone on the trail on an early Monday morning. One car in the parking lot.
