Olallie Lake via Pratt Lake Trail — Friday, Dec. 5, 2025

Aimed for a small window where the rain let up today. Only a few cars at the trailhead this afternoon. Trail holding up well in all the rain. Only a few mud patches. Trail to Ollalie Lake mostly still snow free. A few patches near the lake, but very light. The only problem posed was some icy patches on rough hewn board walks just under a mile from the lake. They were slippery in spots, but poles helped. Arrived at lake around sunset. Lake had light layer of ice on it with water on top. Temperature dropped quite a bit after sunset. Hiked back with headlamps. Trail is doable in the dark if you have proper lighting.
