I've hiked Duckabush in every season and all kinds of weather and I don't think I've ever had the pleasure of having it all to myself before today, but I'll take it. Gorgeous, sunny morning giving way to gray skies in the afternoon; cold, but not windy. There's a dusting of snow starting around Snack Rock and it gets slightly more consistent as you ascend The Hump, but the trail is mostly clear on the other side and it never gets deeper than crust. Spikes are completely unnecessary, but poles were very helpful.
As the previous TR notes, there's a formidable blowdown just before the Big Hump vista which requires some minor scrambling (see pic), but that's the worst of it all the way out to 5-mile. Plenty of other stuff to duck under and straddle over besides, but again - nothing too serious and all relatively straightforward for me and very easy for the dog.
* there was a 2nd car when I got back to the TH, but we must've missed each other somehow
** the privy at the TH is locked (for the season?), so plan accordingly
