Konnowac Pass — Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026

New Years day hike. Foggy, wet hike from Konnowac Pass to Ladybug Peak. Trail started off frozen but thawed and got a little slick as freezing rain fell and temperatures eventually rose. There are usually wide open views on this trail system, but on this day the fog reduced visibility to a few hundred yards, sometimes less. The fog wafting across the landscape created some surreal views. Had the trail to myself and my dog since the nasty weather chased everyone else away.
