Cedar Butte — Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2026

Snoqualmie Region > North Bend Area
View from the Summit

Lovely lunch hike to Cedar Butte today! Did the steep/short way up and down for time, but do recommend the lollipop if you can swing it. Trail is in good condition. No snow, pretty dry. One minor blowdown that I encountered that was easy to step over. The Palouse to Cascades portion of the trail had some mud and puddles, only one spot where my shoes got wet. I wore gaiters, but they were basically not necessary. It was sunny, almost 50 degrees on this January Wednesday! I am always surprised I don't see more people on this trail, given its proximity to Rattlesnake Lake. If you want less crowds but still a nice view, this is a great option for the whole family.

Parking lot had just a small handful of cars. Vault toilets were ok - low on TP but in decent shape otherwise.

Fragile trail to the summit
