Summited Mount Dickerman on 1/22/26
Drive: The Mountain Loop was slick with frost so drive a bit slower but otherwise fine.
Hike: Parked at Deer Creek gate, hard compacted snow just beyond the gate. Once at the Dickerman trailhead the snow melted out but there were several downed trees in the early going. The snow doesn't become persistent on trail until ~4100 ft. I found the snow to be very hard and had a difficult time getting grip with my microspikes on certain sections. I switched to snowshoes and this worked fine, but I should have just used crampons and poles. I had to do a little route finding but the trail is usually somewhat obvious through the snow.
Overall a wonderful quiet hike with incredible views on top!
