We met up at 8:00 a.m. at Marathon Park and made our way south along Deschutes Parkway to Tumwater Historic Park, then Brewery Park/Tumwater Falls Park. The waterfall flow was intense thanks to recent rains. We wondered if some enterprising restauranteur might reopen the Falls Terrace Restaurant. Looks like a great location! Returning to Marathon Park we completed one loop around Capital Lake, doing the hillclimb up to the Law Enforcement Memorial plaza for some views. The sun burned off all the morning fog except the stubborn patch settled on Budd Bay.
The route is all paved or gravel, no obstructions, plenty of parking at Marathon Park, and their are EIGHT public restroom opportunities on route.
