Section Line Trail, Swamp Trail, Big Tree Trail & West Tiger 3 — Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026

The High School to Section Line route to West Tiger 3, WT3, Swamp, and Big Tree trails are all in great shape. There were many botanical signs of spring: the first Coltsfoot (photo 2), nettles (photo 3), red huckleberry, and large leaf avens leaves are emerging, Oso berries were the only blooms I saw (photo 1, this season is weeks ahead of last year). One avian note, there were many male Pacific Wrens singing for mates and territory on this sunny Tuesday. There were dozens of people on WT3 and I had upper Section Line to myself.
