The trailhead is just off of a paved road and suitable for all cars. Discover pass needed to park. No bathrooms.
This is a perfect hike for solitude in the rain forest. I hiked about 2 miles in and saw 3 other people on a Thursday afternoon. After 1.1 miles, you enter the national park and immediately there are old growth trees and tons of moss. It was beautiful hiking next to the stream and the 2 log crossings that I did were in good shape, but slippery. The trail was in great condition with no downed trees. At least the first few miles I did would be great for running.
