I had to pick up some meds for my bird at a vet in Maple Valley, and took advantage of the beautiful weather to take a short walk on the Green to Cedar River trail. I'd noticed this trail before on previous visits, but this time, with no birds in tow, I had the chance to explore a bit.
I hopped on the trail where it passed by the vet's parking lot and headed north first. I turned around where the trail intersects Kent Kangley Road. On the way back, I took advantage of the restroom at Summit Park for a quick pit stop.
I decided to keep going for a bit, this time heading south. I turned around where the trail bends at the railroad tracks.
Overall, it was a nice two mile walk. The trail is never quiet since it runs parallel to the road, but the southern section was nicely wooded. The trail is flat and graveled and in good shape. There are no restrooms, but it passes several parks and runs behind quite a few businesses where you might find bathrooms.
