Cable Trail was pretty muddy and slick today. So I thought I'd be clever and cut up the Tiger Mountain Trail. That turned out to be just as muddy or even more so. I went up K-3 from there to West Tiger 2, and both were better.
Based on that, I suspect at the moment the High Point Trailhead might currently be a less muddy option for Tiger.
With the colder, (hopefully) snowy weather system heading into Seattle, the clouds were really dramatic and it made for great views of the Sound.
Having made peace with the mud, I went back down Cable.
If anyone from the DNR reads these trail reports, I put a couple of pics of signs that didn't survive the winter. Pic 3 is at the junction of K-3 and RR Grade. Pic 4 is where the TMT crosses the saddle between W Tiger 2 and 3.
